Dolores and her family were proud to be charter members of Fielder Road Baptist Church. She was a loyal, long tenured employee of Fieldcrest Cannon in Arlington for many years where she was known and loved by all her colleagues and customers. She remained at Fieldcrest until the closing of the facility at which time she began employment for Armor Specialty Foods of Arlington until her retirement.
Dolores was the proud mother of two very active sons. Whether it be watching at the baseball or football fields or chasing after them on her four wheeler at the motorcycle races, just being involved gave her such pleasure. She loved spending time with her arts and crafts, or making creations at her sewing machine. Later in life, the discovery of the computer with email and social media filled many hours as she enjoyed reaching out to old friends and colleagues.
Anyone who knew Dolores knew her greatest pride and joy was her three granddaughters. Watching her granddaughters grow into such beautiful young ladies gave Dolores a tremendous amount of pleasure. Whether she was present at an event or not, you can guarantee that she had all of the logistics, printed literature, photos, or side notes about the event well before the event ever finished. One thing was for sure, she never failed to tell them how proud she was of them.
She was preceded in death by mother Dorthia English Starks and father Elmer Starks.
She is survived by son Tim Anders of Arlington, son Tracy Anders and wife Lisa of Arlington, granddaughters Chelsea Anders Curlee and husband Travis of Paradise, Ashtyn Anders of Edmond Oklahoma, Jordyn Anders of Arlington, sister Doris McCollum of Burleson, along with nieces Brenda Land and husband Richard of Burleson, and Cindy Baker and husband Bobby of Crowley.
