Dolores Maureen Nudds, 88, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019. Dolores was a long-time resident of both Arlington and Dallas, Tx. She was born on July 9, 1930 in Detroit MI. Dolores graduated from Ohio Wesleyan College as an Occupational Therapist and married Walter Richard (Dick) Nudds in 1953. They began their married life in California and transferred with his company to New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.
Dolores continued her education and received her master’s degree in Public Health from Texas Women’s University. She worked many years for the Easter Seals Society and was very involved in initiating programs with the Visiting Nurses Association, including writing grants for those programs. Her husband passed away in 1985 and she later took a position at the Kappa Kappa Gamma House at SMU as the House Mother. She did this for 3 years and thoroughly enjoyed living with all the girls.
Dolores loved to travel and experience different cultures. She said she was not going to turn down any invitations to visit her friends or miss an opportunity to travel. She traveled all over the world with friends or by herself.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Kenneth Earl Borland. Survivors include her daughters Sheryl Nudds of Richardson, Texas, Shelly Bordonaro, husband Mark, and Jane Tecklenburg, husband Kerry, all of Plano, Texas. She has 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Bordonaro, wife Emly, Brandon Bordonaro, Sam Tecklenburg, Emma Tecklenburg, and 2 great -grandchildren, Charlize and Arlo Bordonaro, as well as her sister-in-law, niece and nephew.

A memorial service will be held on May 28 at 11:00am at Sparkman Funeral Home in Richardson, Tx.
