Donna Lou Allen

Donna was born September 20, 1934 in Belton, Texas to Donald and Willie Smallwood. She graduated from Belton High School and later married the love of her life, Cyrel Edward Allen, Jr. on February 15, 1953. Donna and Cyrel built their home in Pantego in 1963 and resided there ever since. In 1957, they became members of First Baptist Church of Arlington.

Donna was a dedicated bookkeeper for Arlington ISD at Lamar High School for 32 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, baking, and volunteering at her church. However, her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren, Shannon and Kaitlyn.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and Christian. She was the sweetest woman a person could ever meet and to know her was to love her. Her kindness and generosity will be her legacy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Cyrel Edward Allen, Jr.; parents, Donald Ross and Willie Lou Smallwood; and son, Donald Edward Allen.

Survivors: daughter, Susan Jean Allen Slight; grandchildren, Shannon Wayne Slight and wife, Alyssa, and Kaitlyn Renae Walker and husband, Tyler; sister, Lila Jean Glazener; nephews, Alan Glazener and wife, Pam, and Scott Glazener and wife, Erin; great-nieces, Holly Noles, Emily Glazener, and Kensley Glazener; and a loving church family.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to all of Donna's caregivers, friends, and church family. She loved you all very much.
