Donna Fox Overton, age 70, passed away on July 3, 2024, in Dallas, Texas at Baylor University Medical Center. Donna was born on April 10, 1954, to Don and Judy Fox. Donna was raised in Fort Worth and attended Eastern Hills High School graduating in 1972. She also attended Texas Christian University and Tarrant County College. Donna married Kevin Glynn Overton on December 6, 1986. On October 1, 1990, her son Charles Glynn Overton was born.
Donna was a retired bailiff and deputy in Tarrant County. She worked for many years in the 297th district court. She was devoted to justice and was highly respected by many of the judges, attorneys, and staff at the criminal courts.
Donna loved watching her son Charles compete in swimming and attending concerts where he played the cello. It was rare for her to miss a swim meet or concert starting when Charles was in elementary school all the way through college. After Charles graduated college, she enjoyed following each of the swim teams Charles coached. She was a supporter of each team. She also enjoyed traveling and camping with Kevin.
Donna is proceeded in death by her stepfather Ben Dumas, her father Don Fox, and her grandmother Evelyn Hester.
Donna is survived by her husband Kevin, son Charles, daughter in law Kayla, Mother Judy Dumas, her sisters, Darla Pollard and D’Ann Howe, brother, Robert Fox, many nieces and nephews, and her many friends.
Donna was a fierce mother to Charles. She was a constant friend to many, including her lifelong Bluebird friends. Finally, she was a devoted, loving wife and partner to Kevin. She touched the lives of many, and her spirit, loyalty, wisdom, and caring nature will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
