

Services for Dorothy Manila Graham Beckham, 86, of Arlington will be 11:00 am, Thursday, March 12 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Heath officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, March 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Beckham passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Frisco, Texas.
Dorothy Manila Graham was born July 27, 1928 in Sudan, Texas to Brink A. Graham and Rosa Elois Hamilton Graham. She married Marvin L. Beckham June 5, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death in January 2002 after 54 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth “Buddy” Graham.
Dorothy loved kids and family and combined her gifts for bringing special care to both by running Beckham’s Day Care in Arlington for forty years. Mrs. Beckham also enjoyed reading, sewing, arts and crafts, collecting dolls, gardening and her roses. None of these however could compare to her love for her dog Topper.
Dorothy was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church in Grand Prairie and was a supporter of the police and fire department by making teddy bears for them to provide to children who had been misplaced from their homes or had a traumatic event.
Pallbearers are Mike Cochran, Casey Gann, David Moore, M.M. “Jake” Graham, G.B. “Peelar” Graham, and Ralph Beckham.
Survivors include granddaughter Brandy Cochran, and her husband Mike, and their children Camille and Tristan, granddaughter Ashly Gann and husband Casey and their daughters Alexis and Alyson, one son, Ralph Beckham, siblings Elmer “Slim” Graham, Bob Graham, Wanda Davis, M.M. “Jake” Graham, G.B. “Peelar” Graham, Ioma Canniff, and Phillip Graham and several nieces and nephews.
