

Dorothy ”Dottie” Mae Evans was born February 15, 1939 in Washington, KS; she was raised in Sabetha, KS. After graduating High School she attended Airline School in Omaha, Nebraska, she was recruited by Braniff Airlines as a reservationist and relocated to Dallas, TX in 1958. She married in 1959 and had two daughters, Kimberlyn and Brenda. She was a stay at home mother and followed her first husbands career and lived in Virginia, Maryland, Florida and California before returning to Texas in 1980. She then married her second husband Gary Evans in 1982 and moved from Plano, TX to Arlington, TX. In retirement Dorothy and Gary loved cruising the Pacific, Atlantic, Caribbean Islands and the Panama Canal, she also took numerous mission trips to South America and Russia. Gary preceded her in death on January 8, 2016. She is survived by her daughters; Kim Dunaway and son-in-law Bob, Brenda Frye and son-in-law Bill, 3 grandkids, David, Christopher and Michelle and 6 great grandkids, Conner, Corinne, Ayden, Aaron, Summer and Caroline who all reside in Arlington, TX. Surviving Kansas family includes sister Ruth Alderfer Painter, brother Donald Ryland and wife Marjean and numerous nephews & nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Luzena Ryland and a sister, Arlene Fry.
Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00am, Monday, January 2, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Monday, January 2, 2017 also at the funeral home.
