Liz was born on Vance Air Force Base in Enid Oklahoma. She grew up on Air Force bases in Ohio, California, North Dakota, Illinois, Washington D.C. and Maryland to name a few.
After graduating from Fredric Douglas H.S. in Maryland she attended Oklahoma State University. After graduating with a B.S. in Agriculture and Applied Science she moved to Texas in order to be closer to her family. She lived in and around Arlington for years before moving to a small ranch near Paradise, Texas. Dry Branch Ranch quickly became a home for lost and abandoned animals that she couldn’t stand to see go homeless. She had a big heart and took in cats, dogs, and horses that others had discarded or could no longer keep. They became her passion in later life as she learned to care for and train them.
Most of her professional career was spent in the printing industry where she held almost every job imaginable. It was rare that she would walk into a print shop anywhere in DFW and not know people. She made friends of the people she worked with and they became some of the people closest to her.
Hobbies included photography, jewelry making, camping, and quilting.
Liz was the daughter of Lt. Col Jim and Ann Honaker of Dallas, Texas and sister to Nancy, Kathryn, and Richard Honaker. She is survived by her son Matt Williams.
