She was born on March 16, 1928 in Topton, PA to George and Mary (Rhodes) Lantz.
She enlisted in the US Navy on September 12, 1952 and served her country as a Navy Nurse until she was discharged on September 11, 1954. She loved Nursing and took care of her patients for 64 years.
On November 13, 1954 in Portsmouth, VA, Elsie married the love of her life, Robert DeSantis. They enjoyed 64 years together sharing the joys of being parents, grand and great grandparents.
She is survived by 5 children; Camillo (Mary) Desantis, Seren (Jonthan) Stroot, Scot (Evelyn) DeSantis, Susan (Donnie) Ward, and Thomas (Elaine) DeSantis; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends, all who will miss her deeply.
Honoring Elsie’s wishes a private family service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, TX
