

Emma Jean Morris, 86, passed away on July 21, 2015. She was born May 2, 1929 in Vernon, Texas. She grew up in Vernon, Texas until the age of 31; she moved to Arlington, Texas to study to be a school teacher at the University of Texas in Arlington, where she received her BA. She accepted a job with LTV in the Aerospace Division and worked there for 25 years. She reproduced the blue prints of many top secret government projects for Washington D.C. She received a letter of appreciation from the President of the United States for her work relating to putting the first man on the moon. She also ran a Bed and Breakfast in Glenn Rose, Texas. She studied Interior Design, Horticulture, and Clothing Design.
She was predeceased her husband, James Morris, her sister, Barbara Rose, her brother, Jack Gray and her son, Wayne Spurlock Morris. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Lou Fleisher, her sister, Janie Scarbrough, and her grandchildren, Matt Morris, Shawn Morris, Holly Hagan and Barry Walker.
Jean loved to work in her garden and enjoyed Interior Designing and sewing. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted Christian.
A private graveside service will be held at Moore's Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas.
