Eugene Leon Lowke

Eugene Leon Lowke, aged 87, of Bedford, Texas passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in Bedford, TX. He was born on January 27, 1938, in Crowell, TX to Albert and Emma Lowke. Gene was raised in Harrold, TX and graduated from Harrold High School. Following graduation, Gene served as a Sergeant in the National Guard.

Gene married the love of his life, Doris Weddle, in 1956 and together they had three children. He worked as a manager at Elliott Electric Supply for more than 22 years. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, yard work, outdoor activities on the water and trips to the beach.

His friends and family will always remember him as a great Father and true mentor. Gene was always available and an inspiration to all that knew him.

Gene is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Lowke; father, Albert Lowke; Mother, Emma Lowke; Brother, Albert Lowke Jr. and his sister, Francis Bodling.

He is survived by his sons, Randy (Yvonne) Lowke of Arlington, TX, Steve (Lisa) Lowke of New Braunfels, TX and Paul (Cindy) Lowke of Arlington, TX; Grandchildren, Ryan Hill, Jana Cohron, Robyn Fagan, Rachel Lowke, Emily Jones, Katelyn Lowke and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

A visitation for Eugene will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A graveside service will occur Monday, April 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home.
