Faye Harris Povero

Faye Harris Povero, 84, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 23rd in Fort Worth, Texas. Born in Greenville, Mississippi on February 29th 1940, she was the only child of Jeanette and Edgar C. Harris.

She is survived by her former husband, Donald Povero, three sons: Marc Povero of Fort Worth, Jeffery Povero and husband Jeffrey Schneider of New York City and Darren Povero and wife Monica of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Aidan Povero, Courtney Lynn Povero and Jake Povero; great-grandson Kase Nowak; nieces Darlene Todd, Bobbi Hill, Jenilee Harwell, nephew Grayson Todd and her dog, Marley. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Tamara Gayle Povero.

Faye was a 1958 graduate of Carter-Riverside High School. She was a highly regarded and sought after real estate agent in Fort Worth who helped people buy and sell homes for over 40 years. Prior to her real estate career, Faye was a trailblazer for women in the broadcast industry on radio stations in New York and Texas.

Faye loved games and enjoyed evenings with close friends playing cards and mahjongg. She absolutely adored her children, grandchildren, great-grandson and family. She was the matriarch who held her family together and will be sorely missed.

Faye was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Her faith never wavered throughout the peaks and valleys of life. Her “go to” verse was always Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

A visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home on Sunday, October 27th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM

A graveside services for Faye Harris Povero will be held on Monday October 28th at 12:00 PM - Moore Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas,
