

At an early age, her family relocated to Ralls, Texas, where she continued attending school.
Fertie developed a love for music and singing at an early age. She was a member of the Jolly Five and shared her musical gifts with those around her. She also taught music and received guidance and encouragement from Pastor Milton Bigham.
Fertie met Reverend Allison L. Patrick at the Shilo Baptist Church in Ralls, Texas.The two were united in marriage in 1950 and began a life together filled with faith, family, and service.
Throughout their marriage, Fertie and Reverend Patrick lived in several communities, including La Mesa, Odessa, Phoenix, Tucson, and San Diego. Fertie worked for more than 30 years before retiring from Lubbock Independent School District.
Fertie was devoted to her husband and cared for him until his passing in 2005. After his death, she returned to Trinidad, Texas, and later made her home with her daughter in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Fertie Louise Patrick peacefully departed this life on September 19, 2026, at the age of 92, surrounded by loved ones at home.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family and friends, including her daughter Joyce, and many other relatives and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by many loved ones, including Lubertha Kelly, Clara Mae Kelly, Percell Hubbard, Uncle AY Jr., Curtis Hubbard, Richard K. Rowe, Allen Livingston, RD aka Buddy and her beloved husband, Reverend Caro Patrick.
Fertie will be remembered for her love of family, her faith, her music, and the many lives she touched throughout her 92 years.
