Floyd Wesley Crittenden, 94, a resident of a local retirement center, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Saturday in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: The family will accept guests 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home.
He was born in Porum, Okla., on Sept. 11, 1918. On April 19, 1945, Floyd joined life with his love, Orpha Brewton, and they were married for 56 years before her passing in 2001. His career spanned from serving in the U.S. Army in a tank battalion for three years during World War II to commercial truck driving with 7-Up & Dalworth before retirement.
Survivors: Floyd is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Sue Moore and Nancy Aileen Crittenden; three granddaughters, Regina Michelle Pipkins and husband, Joel, Scarlett Celeste Crittenden, Raelyn Rene Gross and husband, Clayton; and two great-granddaughters, Bailey and Brooklyn Pipkins.
