Foy (Nik) Nichols Davis, Jr., 80, of Euless, TX passed away peacefully September 12, 2021. He was born in Winters, TX, on July 3, 1941. Nik graduated from Irving High School in 1960, attended Howard Payne University, and received his Associate’s degree from Tarrant County College. He married the love of his life, AlaJoy Young Davis, on February 16, 1963. Nik served in the United States Navy based in Long Beach, California on the USS Brush as the sole Fire Controlman, having tours in Vietnam and the South Pacific. Once he was discharged from the Navy, the family returned home to the Dallas area and began his career in IT, working at Texas Instruments, Scientific Control Company, Universal Computer Company, and Harris Corporation. His passion for the industry led to opening his own network cabling company, AllNet, in 1987, and he retired in 2019.
Nik was a fishing and shooting enthusiast, a fantastic vegetable gardener, and a landscaper with a love for the outdoors. He attended almost every dance, cheerleading, and drill team performance of his two daughters; baseball, and horseriding competitions of his two grandsons with great pride and joy. Nik was gifted with the ability to “fix” anything from cars and appliances to carpentry; he was indeed the ultimate Do-It-Yourselfer.
He is preceded in death by his parents Foy Nichols and Bonita Estelle Davis, Brother Robert “Bud” Davis and survived by his loving wife AlaJoy Young Davis, Daughters Penni Davis Lemmon and husband Bill Lemmon (Wichita Falls), Kristi Davis (Carrollton), Grandsons Alec and Seth Lemmon (Wichita Falls), Brother Jim Davis, and wife Sally Sue (Rollinsville,CO). Along with Sister in laws Peggy Echols, Brinda Snoke, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, 76012. Interment: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, 75211. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, at Moore Funeral Home.
