Frances O. Snider

ARLINGTON -- Frances O. Snider passed away peacefully Thursday evening, May 17, 2012 after a sudden intense illness. Her children, grandchildren and their loved ones were by her side the last few days. She told her family that she "was taking a new path and she wanted to put her shoes on." Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ, 6102 W. Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington. Interment: Restland Memorial Park, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Memorials: May be sent to Mission Printing in Arlington or Hearts and Hands at North Davis Church of Christ. Fran was born in Lexington, Tenn., to Coleman and Beatrice Overby and was a "PK," a preacher's kid. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert R. Snider; parents; and sisters, Rachel, Teresa and Laurel. Survivors: Her husband, Ken Weatherford; her children and their families, Bob and Myra, Leah and Luis (Elle and Elise), Ryan, Reid and Jay; Sarah and Tim, Chad and Whitney (Tate and Savannah), Carlie and Layton; and Susan and Robbie, Cortney and Rob; niece, Nan MacLeod and Edward (Anne and Charles) and nephews, Don and Sonny and his wife, Glenda.
