

Service: Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment: 12:30 p.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N Davis Drive, Arlington.

He was born Aug. 8, 1929, to Frank and Cecilia Lidiak. He was a 1947 graduate of LaGrange High School, where he was a varsity basketball player, all state football player and Eagle Scout. Frank attended TCU on a football scholarship and upon completion of his business degree, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. After completing his service commitment, Frank began his professional career with Millers Insurance Co., retiring as vice president of claims in 1992. He continued his career for several years post-retirement, working with Parker and Associates in Dallas.
Frank was active in community affairs. He served Windcrest as mayor pro tem, fire chief and police commissioner from 1969-73; was a member of the Rolling Hills Country Club and served on its board of directors; and was a 50-year member of the Knights of Columbus serving as grand knight for council 6269 in 1979. He and his wife attended Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Arlington.
Survivors: A wonderful husband, father and grandfather, Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anne Lidiak; son, Frank Jacob Lidiak; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Thomas and Jodi Lidiak; daughter and son-in-law, Marianne Lidiak Baker and Johnny Baker; brother and sister-in-law, Edward George and Carol Lidiak; grandchildren, Stephanie Merck and her husband, Chad, Madeline Baker, Cori Lidiak, Lindsey Lidiak, Conner Lidiak, our friend, Lauri Lidiak; and many relatives and friends.
