Graveside service: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.
While serving his country proudly during World War II he was captured from Fort Drum, Philippines, and held as a prisoner of war at Mukden, Manchuria, for three years. He returned home to receive several service metals and two Bronze Stars. He wed Marion Sorensen, an Army nurse, and they lived happily together for 64 years prior to her death in January of this year.
He will be greatly missed by all who love him.
