Fred Barzelle Brown

Fred B. Brown, 90, of North Richland Hills, passed away on August 8, 2023. He was born in Jack County, Texas on October 8, 1932. Fred married Edna A. Brown on April 13, 1996. He was a loving husband and father, who showed his care for others through thoughtful acts of service.

Fred began working hard at a young age to provide a comfortable living for his family. He carried a strong work ethic throughout his life. Fred entered the Army in May of 1953 and served until May of 1956. He graduated from DeVry Technical Institute in North Carolina and began a career in Radio-Tv appliance repair. Fred continued serving his community by working for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years.

Fred was a member of College Hill Church of Christ. He had a passion for computer technology and electronics. He enjoyed fishing and, more recently, he enjoyed playing cards with his family.

Fred is survived by his wife, Edna A. Brown; a child from his previous marriage, Kathy Leeann Crews; and grandchildren Clara and Kyle Crews; his sister Frances Jones; as well as 7 adult stepchildren and their spouses, 6 additional grandchildren and 19 great-grand children.

He is preceded in death by his parents Johnnie Lee Brown and Katie May Dallas, his step-daughter from his first marriage, Barbara Ann Jones, and his sister Maudie Farris.

A visitation for Fred will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
