Fred Eugene Glover

Funeral: 3 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Moore Funeral Home on North Davis in Arlington. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Fred was born in Wichita Falls on Nov. 19, 1927, to Frank and Lula Glover. In his early years, he worked for General Mills in Wichita Falls. The family moved to Arlington in 1966 and he worked for Vought Corporation until his retirement. Fred was a deacon and active member of Mayfield Road Baptist Church. From his first cancer diagnosis 10 years ago, Fred was determined to live life to the fullest: he enjoyed traveling, and frequent games of golf and dominoes with family and friends - and was able to continue to do all these in his last days. The youngest of nine children, a generation passes with Fred; he was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers. Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Zada Lemond Glover; daughters, Kathy Ford and Charla Glover; son, Don Glover and his wife, Angie; granddaughters, Rachel Ford, Claire Elder and her husband, Cliff, Sophie Glover; and numerous extended family and friends.
