We are so thankful that we knew Freda who enriched our lives with her wit, humor, smile, loving spirit, dedication, hospitality, and love of God. We had the pleasure of working with Freda for 21 years at Grace Lutheran Church in an in-depth Bible study program called LifeLight.  Freda, along with Juanita and Audrey came to us from Aldersgate Methodist Church and were known as our Methodist ladies.  We all became dear friends.  Freda became a group leader and was on the leadership team for LifeLight.  She was loved for her leadership and her life of willingness to serve God in all she did.
We noticed that Freda started building up a string of “perfect attendance” years at LifeLife, so decided to honor her service, dedication, and perfect attendance record.  Every year we would make and present to her a Certificate noting her perfect attendance, which she always loved receiving. We are sure that she came many times to keep that perfect attendance record going even when she was just not feeling up to it.  We know of  14 years of certificates issued but lost count due to a software failure making it impossible to retrieve any more records.
We enjoyed visiting with Freda and her many pets at her home where the welcome mat was always out.  She had a special knack for making everyone feel so welcome and comfortable.
For Freda's family – please know that Freda was a very special individual and loved by all.  We grieve with you about Freda’s passing but rejoice with you that she is now in heaven and one day we look forward to seeing her again – we are sure she will have out the welcome mat.

Our deepest sympathy to the White family.  Freda was a lovely person and will be missed so much.  She was a faithful servent of God and a treasure to all those who knew her.  As secretary to Alersgate UMC, as well as a member of the congregation and United Methodist Women I was always in touch with her in one way or the other.  Freda was always there when you needed a helping hand .  Loved interacting with her.  A true Southern Lady.  Will be missed a bunch...

I loved Freda.  She was the epitome of a gentile southern lady.  She was a woman of deep faith and a pillar in the  church. She was funny and and  had a great sense of humor.  She could be feisty about her convictions and values and would let you know.  But always with a kind and loving heart. Always perfectly dressed, hair and make up done perfectly. She was so strong and had overcome many things that might have destroyed the average person. We have lost a great lady and friend to so many.  

I served with Freida on the Worship Committee.  I will cherish her words and sincerity expressed to me during the washing of the feet observance. She was a beautiful lady.  My husband, Gary, was very  taken with the attention she gave to him. We loved her.


Freda did a wonderful job serving my mother's funeral meal at the old Aldersgate parsonage in Arlington.
I visited her over the past few years; and often let her know how much we appreciated what she did.
I thank God for her; and especially for her sweetness.
