I cannot fully express the depth of my spiritual love and appreciation for Gary.  He encouraged me at UTA for many months like an angel from heaven by leaving drawings on my desk each day that had Scripture and words like "Duane Keilstrup, the Lord loves you!"  Some of these drawings are in my book The Christian Professor in the Secular University:  Singing and Soaring on Paths of Joy.  We often would  meet on campus for a few minutes to share thoughts.  The Lord sent him to me when I sorely needed encouragement upon being confronted with Satin's darts.  I still have his drawings near my desk at home.  I lost touch with him when I retired, which I so regret, but we will see each other again one day in the not too distant future when I can hug and thank him dearly.
