Born June 04, 1947 in Waco, TX, Gayla was the child of Edgar and Lorene Revia. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1965 and went on to work as a nurse for a number of years.
Gayla enjoyed quilting and passing that skill on to others. She was active in her church and enjoyed card nights with her friends. She loved making and sharing homemade sourdough bread and cinnamon rolls from a starter she kept alive for over 42 years. Mostly, when asked, she would say she aspired to be a wife, mother and Grammy (to her Grands) and GiGi (to her Great Grands). Her sense of humor was present until her final day on this side of Heaven. She was a devout Christian and we know she is presently with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Gayla is survived by her children, Robert Adams and wife Dee Dee, Cristy Middleton and husband Jon, Carrie Satterwhite and partner Charles Lau; seven grandchildren, Brett and wife Stephanie, Merishia and husband Larry, Blake and wife Iris, Garrett and wife Heather, Grant and fiance Alli, Caleb and partner Haze, and Meghan; five great grandchildren, Brantley, Micah, Noah, Asa and Josiah; her aunt Mary and many cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Lorene Revia, her husband Tom Clingingsmith, sister Frances Lewis, and brother Richard Revia.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday May 30 at 12:00PM at Oak Crest Baptist Church in Midlothian, Texas.
