She was always known for her smile and positive attitude. She was a local celebrity for her “Trip to the North Pole”. She was also a very talented artist.
She loved to travel and seriously considered a career as an airline stewardess, until she realized she could earn more money doing hair. She went to beauty school and enjoyed it immensely, though travel remained a highlight for all the years she could. She also loved genealogy and visiting the San Antonio River Walk, including the breakfast tacos she enjoyed there.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Pierce, her father Simp Garrison, and her mother Lucy Garrison. She is survived by her sister Jerry Morris and her husband John; her sister Debbie Garrison; her brother Simpson Garrison and his wife Sherry; stepdaughter Holly; nieces and nephews Kelli Barrow, Michael Jacobs, Richard Jacobs, Wendy Crow, Kris Frazier; and step nieces and nephews Paula Pisarcik, John Morris and Joni Knox.
