

Services for George Alfred Breault, 95, of Pantego, will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, January 20 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Mr. Breault passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his residence. George was born January 24, 1919 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Daniel Breault and Marie LeMay Breault. He served in the United States Army as an Aviation Ordnance Officer from October 10, 1942 through June 17, 1947 and was specially trained in bomb reconnaissance. During his service he fought in the China Defensive, China Offensive, India Burma, Central Burma and the Asiatic-Pacific theatre and received numerous medals. After the war he served in the Air National Guard for an additional 17 years and retired
as Major in 1956. George married Alice Chandler November 30, 1945. He managed a variety of department stores in Texas, including The Fair, Dillards, and Stripling & Cox. He was an active member of St Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington in to his 80’s and was a member of the Lion’s Club. George loved to travel, visit his family and smoke a good cigar. Mr. Breault was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years on September 13, 2002, by one daughter, Debbie Breault, one granddaughter, Lindsay Lewis, and by three siblings, Roland, Cecile and Eunice. Survivors include two sons; Larry Breault and his wife Marji of Euless, and Greg Breault and his wife Pat of Arlington, two daughters; Denise Stuard and her husband Doug of Newport News, Virginia and Linda Showers and her husband Brian of Scottsdale, Arizona, one sister, Theresa Kennedy of Newport News, Virginia, five grandchildren; Devon, Lauren, Melanie, Brooke and Scott, and four great-grandchildren, Brody, Cash, Paxton, and Declan.
