George Bear "Bear" Gutierrez Cruz

Visitation will be held at the Moore Funeral Home on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11am at Saint Maria Goretti’s Catholic Church in Arlington; with procession immediately following to Moore Cemetery for Interment.

George “Bear” Cruz was born to Saturino Cruz and Olivia Gutierrez Cruz on December 31, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas.

George was a resident of Arlington, Texas for over 30 years while working as a supervisor for Pepsi Cola in Grand Prairie. During retirement he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family whom he loved greatly. He was also an avid motorcycle rider and a member of The Gypsies.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Olivia Gutierrez Cruz; daughter, Michelle Hughes and husband Daniel Melchor; son, David Cruz and wife Rena Legget Cruz; grandchildren, Blake Cruz, Donovan Higgins, and Bailey Cruz; sisters, Mary Helen Gonzalez Villarreal and husband Robert T. Villarreal, Jr., Connie Alonzo and husband Rufus Alonzo, Linda Escandon; countless nieces and nephews; and many beloved family and friends..

George will be joining in Heaven his father, Saturino Cruz; brother Robert “Bob” Cruz Sr.; and brother-in-law Joe Solis.
