

Mack was born to the late George (Sr.) and Helen Morgan on August 26, 1935, in Franklin, TX. George and Helen had nine children, and Mack loved being a part of this large, close-knit family. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1953, and then attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. He came to Arlington to work as a bookkeeper for the American Can Company where his brothers Taylor and Thomas also worked. He later followed his passion to become an antique dealer and owned Mack’s Antiques for over sixty years. He loved going to Canton each month as well as sales at the Cowbarn and Fair Park, along with antique shows all over the country. In his later years, he enjoyed a part time job at Avis/Budget for more than twenty years, where he made many dear friends.
He married Rosemary Haedge on April 29, 1961.They lived in Arlington, TX their entire married lives...over 60 years!
Mack is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rosemary, and his siblings: Sadie Brocato, Adren Morgan, Taylor Morgan, Thomas Morgan, Doris (Dot) Pilger, and Barbara Scherr. He is survived by his daughters, Melanie Grace Morgan of Dallas, TX, and Vickie Morgan Gipson of Arlington, TX; son in law Jim Gipson Jr; grandchildren: Sadie Rose Gipson and George Taylor Gipson; sister: Margie Dalton, brother: Jerry Morgan, brother in law Roland Haedge. He is also survived by many neices and nephews. Mack loved his family deeply.
Mack enjoyed road trips to the mountains, antique shows and buying trips, telling stories, watching Westerns, and spending time with his friends and family. His grandchildren, Sadie and George, were his pride and joy. He loved watching them grow up and supported them in every way possible. He never met a stranger and he always had a story to tell. It seemed he knew people everywhere!
Mack's welcoming, loving, kind, and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew him. He was loved by so many and will be missed so much. He has left us with so many wonderful memories, and we are grateful for that.
The visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home at 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012 from 6-8pm on Wednesday,
September 16th. There will be a service at the South Chapel at the same location at 4pm Thursday, September 17th. On Friday, September 18th, there will a graveside service at Henry Prairie Cemetery in Franklin, TX at 11am.
