Butch was born in Lincoln, Illinois on July 8, 1943 to the late James and Alice Cook. At an early age, he was adopted by his uncle, the late Paul E. Ware and his wife Peggy who raised him as their own. Butch spoke often of his wife Frances and his extended family. He enjoyed the time he spent with friends in his bowling leagues and playing golf. After many years of faithful service, he retired from Vought Aircraft.
Butch was preceded in death by his wife Frances, his parents, James and Alice Cook, brother James Ware, sister Linda Houston and his adoptive parents, Paul and Peggy Ware.
He is survived by his brother Paul Ware (Amy), sisters Patricia Richmond (David) and Katherine (Chester) Hilliard as well as many nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held at a later date at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas.
