Gilberto G. Valadez

A Funeral Mass for Gilbert G. Valadez, 64, of Lake Dallas, will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 Cheyenne Street, Irving, Texas 75062. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012. He passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015.

Gilbert was born December 13, 1951 in Seguin, Texas to Pantalion Valadez and Maria Gonzales. He married Helen C. Palomo on July 22, 1972. Gilbert worked as a welder for more than 30 years until he retired to help care for his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, working on his property and spending time with his family.

Mr. Valadez was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Maria Valadez, his wife Helen Valadez, three children, Lesley Michelle Llorente and her husband Rick, Kristy Hroch and her husband Brent, and Gabriel Valadez and his wife Elizabeth, seven grandchildren; Andrew Llorente, Nicholas Llorente, Alyssa Llorente, Ethan Hroch, Matthew Hroch, Dylan Hroch, and Avery Valadez, and three brothers; Tony Valadez, Mario Valadez and Ruben Valadez.
