Glenn Raymond Alexander

Glenn Raymond Alexander of Arlington, TX, passed away on September 22, 2026, at his home in Arlington, TX, from complications of diabetes and COPD.He will always be remembered as a loving husband to Jan Leake Alexander.

Glenn was born on February 6, 1949 in Iberia, MO, to Carlis and Ruth Martin Alexander. He leaves behind one surviving brother, David, of Missouri; two stepchildren; four step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren in Florida and the DFW area.

Glenn was a Vietnam Veteran, having been drafted at just 19 years old. His basic training was at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He was a Sergeant 4th Class in Combat Infantry, stationed in Tay Ninh, Vietnam Province. No stranger to hostile artillery fire and rescuing downed helicopter occupants, he received the Bronze Star, Medals of Valor, and Medals of Heroism under Hostile Fire.

He served from 1969 to 1971, ending his service at Fort Carson, CO. Most of his platoon were either killed in action or wounded in battle. Glenn was fortunate to have made it out alive.

He lived most of his life in Missouri, Ohio, and Texas.

Glenn was an active Vietnam Vets Harley-Davidson rider and club member for over 25 years in Columbus, OH. He was part of the “Moving Wall” display all over the U.S. and rode to Washington, D.C., as well as the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, SD.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home, located at 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, TX 76012.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 29, at 1:00 p.m., also at Moore Memorial Gardens, located at 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, TX 76012.

A reception will follow at the Alexander residence in Arlington.

Floral arrangements may be delivered to the funeral home by Monday, September 28.
