My first memories of cousin Gloria were when I was very young. Apparently, I had chubby cheeks and every time we had a family gathering, Gloria would seek me out just so she could pinch my chubby cheeks. Of course, I always tried to hide at first. Years later, she and my mom became best friends. They were both single ladies and traveled to Hawaii together, went to fancy restaurants owned my mobsters and just had the best time. Even though my parents were divorced, Gloria had a great relationship with both. Her nickname for my dad was Noneh (not sure how it would be spelled but that’s phonetically close). I have a letter Gloria wrote to me after the passing of my mother back in 2007. I still have it and cherish it. Always in my heart cousin Gloria!

I have such wonderful memories of you. I remember when I was much younger, my dad would take us to visit you & Americo. I can imagine that you are now wrapped in his arms. He was such a wonderful person. You were amazing parents. Your house was always full of love. And it's those memories and love that I will keep with me always. I'm praying that Ricky & Lisa find comfort in knowing that their mom & dad are together once again.

I will miss her voice. It was dramatic and she enunciated each word. I will miss her Christmas card and my birthday telephone call. She never forgot those. I loved her.
