Dear GG,
This is your granddaughter Ashlee. Your "angel". I just want you to know that you are missed, and mostly Loved. I remember the days when I was younger when we would play hide and seek, and walk to sonic and I would search for change on the ground and ask you to hold onto it for me. I remember the day I saw a butterfly land on you and thought that it was the most amazing thing... I always wanted butterflies to land on me after that. And I remember you teaching me how to read and write, and you putting me in Camp Thurman before my first year in school. And how you wrote that story for me in pre k, "Arf Gets Lost", and my class drew pictures for it, and they put it in the school's library. I remember you would always buy me clothes, and take me to the playground, and let me have my friends over when I got older. You were friendly to all of them, even if you didn't really like them too much. I remember you teaching me to drive. It was very helpful, otherwise I wouldn't know what I know today about driving, even though I still have a ways to go. And right now, while I'm sitting here writing this I wonder what you think of me as every day goes by, and I hope you understand me better now, and I hope you know that I truly do love you. The most important things you taught me how to do was to Love and Forgive. I wish I had more time with you. But I am happy that you are Home. I Wuv U GG.

I met Grace in 1968 when we had just moved to Texas. She was outside and I went up to her and asked her if she had any kids. She told me she had 3 daughters, Marilyn (now deceased) Pat and Jackie. I think she was pregnant with Laura at the time. I'm so glad I asked her that because it gave me a life long friend! I will always remember Grace as a pretty woman, always dressed nice. Grace, give my mom a hug in heaven and may you rest in peace.
