

Gregory Alan Anson , age 61, of Arlington , Texas, passed away on 1/8/2023. Greg was born on January 12, 1961 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Greg attended Edison High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he received his diploma of completion in May of 1979.
On July 31, 1985, he began living with Kimberley Yvonne Vinson Anson, as they had met each other through a mutual friend the previous fall of 1984. What started as a “friendship and roommate “ situation, endured and grew into a deep and mutual respect and love for one another. So much so, Gregory and Kimberley married, a year later, on August 30, 1986 and remained married till his passing. Because Greg held a very strong work ethic and embraced his role of provider for his family wholeheartedly; during their years together, Gregory maintained employment primarily through construction, mechanics, maintenance and repair, remodeling, and over the road driving. Some of his employers included Brahma, PM Circuits, Tulsa Housing, Samuels Construction, Muscogee Creek Nation, and most recently University of Texas at Arlington, where he recently retired from. Over the years, Greg also performed multiple free-lance works and projects for himself in these areas and in scrapping as well for self-employment when available.
Greg’s interests and hobbies included traveling with his wife; working on cars and attending Monster truck/motorcycle rally shows. He loved outdoor camping and just being in the outdoors in general. He enjoyed fishing and was a fantastic billiards player, having gone to Nationals with his father on several occasions. He enjoyed playing miniature golf, soft ball, and horseshoes when occasions arose for him to participate. Additionally, Greg enjoyed going to movies & live concerts, grilling and baking. Greg was a proud dedicated family man who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren wholeheartedly and they all loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberley Yvonne Anson; His son, Brandon Kyle Fry; His 2 daughters, Brittny Katrice Rogers and her husband Christopher Lee Rogers; Bailey Kayleen Anson and her fiancé, Justin Townsend.
Gregory was proud of and survived by the following grandchildren: Addison Rogers, Adileigh Rogers, Jamie Anson-Elliot, Isabella Anson-Justice, Anna Townsend. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Christopher Lee Vinson and his wife , Kathy Vinson. Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Jo Anson; his father, Patrick Anson; his brother, Ryan Anson; his step brother , Jeff Harrison ; his stepmother, Carol Anson, and all maternal and paternal grandparents.
Following the service, there will be a reception for friends and family at Renewed Life Church at 1130 W Division, Arlington, Texas. Burial/interment will be Monday, January 23rd, at Green Lawn Cemetery in Checotah, Oklahoma at 12:00 noon with a small brief gathering of friends and family for prayers.
A visitation for Gregory will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur Monday, January 23, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Greenlawn, 1-40 & 69 Hwy, Checotah, OK 74426.
