Harold G. Mulkey, 92, passed away on Saturday March 23, 2019 in Plano TX with family members present. Harold was born August 15, 1926 in Celeste TX to Charlie Mulkey and Myrtle Hudson Mulkey. Harold graduated from Merit High School in 1944. Harold retired from LTV in 1987 after 34 years with them. Harold was a long time resident of Arlington TX with the last 37 years being spent with his companion Linda Nabors.
They broke the mold on this generation of people. Harold could work with his hands and could fix or repair anything given to him, many times better than the original product. Harold was well respected and had many loyal friends. Many of the friends he met at the Irving Elks Lodge, which Harold was a long time member of. Harold enjoyed gambling of any type, but was partial to the Horses and was known of a man with the Mi-das Touch, as many of his friends were heard saying “Harold won again”. Harold will be missed by many. I’m missing him now…
Survivors: Christine Williamee (Fred) daughter, Steve Mulkey, son. Brothers, Neil Mulkey of Irving, Bobby Mulkey (Robbie) of Greenville. Sister, Dorothy Hale of Dallas. Grand Children, Laura, Heather, Ashley Newland and Michael Mulkey. Linda Good Nabors, longtime companion.
