Huston Charles Shelton 89, passed away on September 15, 2020 in Fort Worth, TX. Huston was born on May 21, 1931 in Durant, OK to Jess Albert Shelton and Ruth (Harris) Shelton. On November 3, 1952, Huston was inducted into the US Army where he proudly served his country as a Cpl and was separated into the US Army Reserve on November 2, 1954.
He married the love of his life, Betty Jo Perkins and together their family extends 3 generations.
Through the years Huston became involved in many car clubs including the Fort Worth Model A Ford Club and was one of the Founding Members of the Lone Star Region of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America.
Huston was preceded in death by his parents; his son-in-law, Mike Edwards; sister, Deloris Burleson and brother, Monroe Shelton.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo Shelton; 2 daughters, Diane Bryant and husband Dutch Bryant and Denise Edwards; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Shoemaker, Kevin Shoemaker, Paden Bryant, Shelby Edwards and Derek Bryant; 5 great grandchildren, Jackson Shoemaker,
Bryce Shoemaker, Carter Shoemaker, Aven Shoemaker and Theodore Edwards; brother, Curtis Shelton; sisters, Imogene Courtney and Letha Mae Willingham and husband Dean; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends, all who will miss him deeply.
Visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N Davis, Arlington, TX 76012.
