

It is with profound enduring love that we announce the passing of Iris Harrell Watson, who departed this world peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on October 21, 1933 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Iris was the daughter of Seburn and Bertha Harrell. She was a beacon of light and warmth to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Iris was a woman of remarkable grace and unwavering faith. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifton Watson, with whom she shared over 50 beautiful years of marriage. Iris and Cliff dedicated their lives to serving God, their church, and their cherished family. She also joins her husband, parents, and her dear sister, Linda Cornwell, in eternal rest. Iris leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her children, Donna Cannon and her husband Robert, Gary Watson and his wife Suzi. Her heart overflowed with pride and joy for her grandchildren, Ryan Cannon and his wife Michele, Renae Jones and her husband Brent, Amanda Watson, Gary Watson Jr. and his wife Christina, and her 11 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who brought endless happiness to her days. Her sister, Gwen Savage of Tyler, continues to carry forth the family's enduring bond. Known for her quick wit, bright smile, and an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special. Iris possessed the rare gift of hospitality. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and kindness, where friends and family alike found solace and joy. Iris's devotion to her family was unparalleled, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. Iris lived her life by the guiding light of Philippians 4:13, "I can do ALL things through Christ which strengtheneth me" • This verse was a source of strength and inspiration that she carried with her throughout her life, imparting this wisdom to those she held dear. Her family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all who have shared their memories and condolences during this time. Iris's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and service, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. A celebration of Iris's life will be held at the gravesite to honor the incredible woman she was, the love she gave, and the legacy she leaves behind. Details of the service will be forthcoming, and all who knew and loved Iris are invited to join in remembering and celebrating her extraordinary life.
