ARLINGTON -- Jack M. Bishop, age 88, of Arlington, Texas passed away on June 5, 2011 in Arlington. Service: 9:30 am Wednesday June 8 at Moore Funeral Home. Burial: DFW National Cemetery. Visitation from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Jack was born May 9, 1923 in Sacramento, California and grew up in Ashland, Oregon. He proudly served as a 1st Lieutenant and B-24 Bombardier in World War II, where he flew 25 missions and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. In 1945 he married Ruth Clark of Sentinel, Oklahoma. They were married for 66 years. After moving to Texas in 1952, he worked in the oil and aerospace industries in Waco for many years. He formed Contract Design Personnel, an engineering recruiting firm in Arlington in 1980, which he operated until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Bishop, children Anne and Mark Bishop, all of Arlington; grandchildren, Chad Beasley of Fort Worth, Wesley Welnack and Kristin Bishop, both of Arlington; and two great-grandchildren.
