Jacquelene "Jackie" J. Cable

Jacquelene “Jackie” Cable, age 94, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. She was born on March 8, 1930, on the family farm in Lafayette Township, Iowa to Dorothy and Sherrin “Jack” Rasmussen. Jackie was raised in Iowa and moved to North Texas in the early 70s.

She married Louis Alan “Al” Cable in 1974, and she had six children from a previous marriage. She held many jobs in food services, retail, and as an office coordinator. In her spare time, Jackie loved bowling and regularly traveled to compete in national tournaments. She also enjoyed crafting and sewing projects with her daughters.

Jackie loved spending time with family during the holidays, going on camping trips and vacations, and attending family celebrations. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Al Cable, her parents, Dorothy and Jack Rasmussen, brother, Gary Rasmussen, daughter, Susan Shadowens, and great-grandson, Justen Bastas.

She is survived by her children, Tom Tackenberg and wife, Becky; Rita Bastas and husband, Craig; Terry Tackenberg and wife, Carmen; Sandy Murphy and husband, Joe; and Robin Savage and husband, Randy; her grandchildren, Kris (and wife Brandi) Bastas, Jeff (and wife Wendy) Quesada, Paige (and husband Bradley) New, Wes Tackenberg, Rusty Tackenberg, Taylor (and husband Alex) Dunker, and Jenn Savage; her great-grandchildren, Marhli Mcalpin, Ethan Tackenberg, Colin Tackenberg, Colton Quesada, Zach Bastas, Kennedy Quesada, Rylan New, Kinsley New; and her great-great-grandchild, Brantlee Bastas.

A visitation for Jackie will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012, followed by a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
