Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Friday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington. Mr. Davis was born Feb. 28, 1926, in Arlington, where he remained a lifelong resident. He fought with the 87th Infantry Division in World War II in the Battle of the Bulge. He returned home to Arlington and married his bride of 63 years, Virginia, and pursued his passion of working with wood and building custom homes for over 40 years. He devoted his life to God, family and country, and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Della and Matt Davis; brothers, Johnny Preston "JP," Irvin and Bobby; and his sister, Charleen Allen. Survivors: Wife, Virginia; daughter, Pam; son, Jimmy; daughter-in-law, Janet; sister, Reba Walker; grandsons, James and Neil; granddaughter, Carrie; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
