To Karen and the Hobby Family,

Our sincere condolences to all of you on the passing of your dear loved one.

David was a very special man to us. We remember him as a caring man who loved the Lord. He officiated our wedding ceremony in 1973 - almost 45 years ago! When we celebrated our 25th anniversary, we were honored to have him share the day with us. How special for him to join us!

Mark actually took a class from David at UTA.

I know that you will miss him. In our heart, we will miss him too. We look forward to seeing him again one day in Heaven.

We love you and pray that sweet memories of David will sustain you in the difficult days ahead. God bless you all.

With Much Love,
J. Mark and Glenda (Gomez) Smith

Karen, Jim, and Kim, I have you on my mind as you get ready to bid farewell to David the earthly man. He was a good husband, father, and inspiration to many , and he will be missed. He was so courageous in his battle with cancer, as was his whole family as you stood with him. Knowing David, he is now relieved of that burden and resting in his promised home. We are left to wonder what it is like on the other side, yet God didn't give us those details...only the hope of life after this one. I know all of you have that hope and will adapt to David's absence while you await a future reunion. My love to all of you. Georgia
