James Howard Jones JR.

James graduated from Hugo High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He was married to the former Linda C. Akins on December 24, 1969.

James worked in as a pharmacist for numerous hospital pharmacies and the U.S Army where he served as an Army Artillery Officer. He was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and had a passion for spreading the gospel, fishing, and reading and was known for his deep discussions.

He is survived by son James H Jones III (Tracy) of Plano, daughter Jada L (Jones) Hartfield (David) of Huntsville, Alabama. Grand children James H Jones IV, Jonathan P Jones, Sasha Jones, Olivia L Hartfield, Amelia Hartfield and David “Langston” Hartfield. And great grandson James H Hines V (J.V).

Funeral Services will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Arlington Texas. Saturday November 13, 2021 at 11:00 am.
