James Woodhull Kolm Sr., 65, of Fort Worth, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Dallas. Service: 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Tuesday, June 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
James was born September 11, 1950 on Long Island, New York to Mrs. Curtis Young Kolm. He married Deborah Loraine Hoffman on March 8, 1969 on Long Island, New York. They were married for 47 wonderful years before his passing. James joined the Marine Corps in 1967 and proudly served 13 years during which time he received the Special Meritorious Citation, among others. He was honorably discharged after he became 100% disabled due to injuries.
Mr. Kolm was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Marguerite, his mother Curtis, and his son Tim. He loved playing darts.
Survivors include his “Wiff” Deborah Kolm; daughter, Laurie Peacock and her husband Michael; son, Jimmy Kolm and his wife Stacie; grandchildren: Dylan, Haylee, Jamie and Julie; great-grandchild Sebastian; and siblings Joseph Kolm and his wife Gail, and Jo-Anne Robich.
