Janet Jester

Janet DiRienzo Jester, age 77, died peacefully in her sleep on October 11, 2021. Janet was born on December 11, 1943 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas in 1961 and entered the University of Texas at Austin. She received her BA degree majoring in English and Spanish. At the University, Janet was a member of Orange Jackets, which is a service organization. She also was a Lifetime Member of the Ex-Students Association.

She married Gibson Jester in 1966. After teaching for a few years, Janet became a full time Mother. Janet was a long time member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Fort Worth. She served on the Vestry and served a term as President of The Women of St. Andrew's. Janet was actively involved in Bible Study Fellowship as both a Discussion Leader and a Children's Leader for over 10 years. She joined Trinity United Methodist Church in 2008 where she became an active member in the ABC Sunday School Class.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph DiRienzo and Sara DiRienzo. Survivors include her husband Gibson, her son Michael, her son Mark and his wife Lisa, granddaughters Riley Katherine and Hannah Louise, sisters Linda DiRienzo and Diana DiRienzo, brother-in-law Frank Jester and wife Karla Jester, sisters-in-law Gail Jester Randal and Flora Jester Wilson.

A funeral service for Janet will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. Mask are preferred, but optional.
