I loved the holidays when Uncle Mitch and Aunt Naomi would bring Jack,Tim,Jorja and Susan to the house on Donmoor and Othermama and Pawpaw’s house on N.12th Street. The Mitchell Family made the holidays special. I loved the way he called Aunt Naomi “Toodles”. You were always nice to me and I will certainly miss you.😊🙏🙏♥️

Uncle Mitch had such a kind and gentle spirit. Even at a young age, I had such respect for him yet not understanding why since I was so young. Now after reading about his life, he was truly a hero and will always be a hero in my heart. To Jack, Tim, Jorja and Susan and families - my deepest sympathy to you all in the loss of such an incredible man, father, grandfather and great grandfather. I know Uncle Mitch will be greatly missed. I feel Blessed to have known him.
With love and prayers to all of the family.

To the children of Jess Avary/Avery Mitchell:
Your parents were special, beautiful people. Jess was faithful to his mother's Avary lineage. My family (William and Lucille Avary Faulkenberry) looked forward to seeing the Jess Avary Mitchell clan at the Avary reunion every year. We "kids" had fun getting to know you "kids." Mother and Jess had fun catching up on each other's lives. We will miss your handsome, intelligent, fun-loving, gentlemanly, parotitic, Christian father.
God bless you.
Love,
Nadyne Faulkenberry Lynn
