Jessie Anita McMullen

She was born in Oklahoma, and moved with her family to Dallas when she was nine. She attended schools in Dallas and Fort Worth, where she graduated from Amon Carter-Riverside in the same class as her husband. After she received her B.S. From TCU and he received his B.A. From Texas A&M, they married August 12, 1961. She received a master's from NTSU in 1966.

They had made their home in Arlington since April 1976. She taught secondary mathematics and English for over twenty years in both Dallas ISD and Fort Worth ISD. She was a member of Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church. She was also, a member of the Chickasaw Nation Indian Tribe, the Arlington Woman's Club, the Arlington Arts League, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by a niece Carolyn McLellan of Oklahoma, nephews Ralph Sonday of Oklahoma, Pat Keele of Michigan, and a great-nephew Scott Allen of Oklahoma. Also, cousins Doris and Ron Raymond of Ridgefield, CT, Aurelia Phillips of Beaverton, OR, and Lauren and Pete Harrell of San Antonio, TX.

A visitation for Jessie will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
