OBITUARY
Jesus "Chuy" Cordova
November 2, 1941 – February 14, 2021
Jesus "Chuy" Cordova passed away Feb. 14, 2021 at his home in Granbury with his wife of 42 years by his side. He was born November 2, 1941, in El Paso Texas to Jesus Cordova and Manuela Rodriguez. He married his loving wife Elvira Cannon Rojas December 8, 1979 in Long Beach, Calif.
Chuy was raised in El Paso Texas, he proudly serviced in the U. S. Navy he was honorably discharged and relocated to Long Beach California, he graduated as an Electronic Engineer from L.B. City College and went to work for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft. He later worked for General Motors in 1972, where he was a member of the Emergency Response Team and retired in 2006 after many years of service.
Chuy's hobby was karate in his younger days, later he took up cooking, after retiring he became a yoga instructor at his local YMCA.
Chuy was a beloved husband and brother as well as a caring friend, he loved his dogs and enjoyed boating watching boxing, and planting flowers around the house. He loved entertaining and cooking for everyone around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors: wife, Elvira Rojas Cordova, sister Ruth C. Losa: numerous nieces and nephews from both his and Elvira's families; and many friends from General Motors as well as the YMCA.

I worked with Chuy at the Everman parts plant. I have great memories of working with him and we had a great friendship..many fond memories of spending time at the lake with his sweet wife and mine..we will miss our friend dearly..Chuy, you will forever be remembered. Elvira, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Chuy was a person with a Big heart and was always upbeat, kind and caring. All the years that I have known him we had a great times as well as conversations. He is and always will be truly missed.

I worked with “Chuy” at the Everman GMSPO plant. He was always had a positive attitude about life. A few times we played dueling harmonicas while working. Fun times and his friendship will be missed.
