Ahhhhh Aunt Joanie,  I miss you so much.  You are always so supportive and loving and excitable and intense and frazzled.  I love listening to you tell a story you're excited about, the way you'd lean back and forward and then so forward yor nose nearly touched mine and then the lean back and laugh quickly followed by a nose to nose lean in and hug.  I remember you being disappointed when I told you I was going to college for computers.  "aww Michael I always thought you should be on the radio, or TV making people laugh". I remember being shocked at first and the realizing it was because you love unconditionally and truly want all your people to be the happiest they can be". I remember how intensely you feel  and love. Example was state championship in Houston, Jimmy Don scored his 7th goal of the game and brought us within 1.  You passed smooth out.  Mom says she wasn't sure what happened, she kept watching the game and let other people attend to you .  I love you always.

Heaven Gained another Angel today..a fine lady, Mother, sister..and friend to whom ever she met. every time I spoke with Joana, she always had words of encouragement. Joana never placed herself ahead of her Family friends or work, as she loved life to the fullest.I'm going to miss you my friend,and dear sister. One day soon we will all be together as God holds a special place for His love ones in this family to re-unite in a special time. Wishing I could be there with a special  family.  Love you all.

Aunt Joanie, I love you dearly. You were one of he strongest women I have ever known. You have known me since I was born. I believe God knew what he was doing when he molded you, because you have touched sooo many lives, and I`m glad that I was one of them. May God be with the rest of the family in this difficult time. I will miss our talks and your wisdom, but I know we will see each other again. You are one special LADY!! I Love You always, your niece always..

Joanie and I have been friends since we were in the 5th grade.  We used to wish we were sisters and ended up marrying brothers and became sister-in-laws.  Joanie was such a strong person and had such compassion for everyone.  I've been gone from home for over thirty years but I always knew she was just a phone call away.  I know that Joanie is in a much better place now but we are all going to miss her so very much.  My prayer is that we hold on to each other now more than ever and ask God to wrap his arms around us all and give us peace.

I had the pleasure of working with Joanie for seven years.  She will be greatly missed by her co workers and friends.  Our condolences to the family.

My mind is still processing this great loss. No words can fully describe the pain I feel. So many wonderful memories of my sweet, beautiful friend Joanie.  I have never met such a wonderful person with such passion for your family and friends as she had.  Always giving of herself without a second thought. She fought to the end, gracefully as did everything. She is suffering no more, for that I am thankful. Joanie is a true example of the love God places in our hearts. I will truly miss my friend tremendously.  
I pray that God will comfort the family and all those who love her through this difficult and sad time.  My blessings and condolences to her family.

I met Joan in the late 80's when I became friends with her son Jimmy. She opened her heart and home to me in my time of need and treated me like one of her own. She was a kind, giving, wonderful person and will be dearly missed. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I loved Joanie like a second mother. I had the pleasure of knowing her for 30+ years. I will miss her greatly.

I will miss my sister tremendously I will always love and keep her in my Heart❤ 
I look forward to being reunited with her our Mother, Father, sister Merle and brother Don. We also have many family members and friends whom have welcomed her to be with Jesus.

I came to know Joan for about 6 months or so,   I was one of her nurses.  She was such a beautiful person inside and out. As sick as she was, she was still  very pleasant and nice. She was a fighter.  I will surely miss her. There are no words I can say to ease the pain of your loss, but I pray that God will comfort and strengthen  you through this  difficult and sad time.
To her sister Kathy, God bless you. Your dedication and care to her were outstanding. You are an inspiration of how families should live, love and help each other. Joan is no longer suffering, and there is coming a day when we will see her again. Until then may the love and peace of Jesus surround and sustain you.
