My Uncle Joe... He was an amazing man that will be greatly missed. Growing up I always saw him as one of the most hard working men I have ever know. I have always seen him as an amazing husband, father, grandfather,uncle.. the list goes on and on. I know he wasn't perfect because he is after all human, But he came pretty darn close. I told him on his death bed that I l loved him and that he is a big reason why I am still single lol. He set the bar pretty high. His soft whispered chuckle will never be forgotten.  I love you Uncle Joe and I will see you again some day. 

Pastor Joe, not a man without imperfection or faults but an upright man nevertheless. A man who pursued God, showed love, compassion and gave encouragement. He was a man who fought the good fight. He didn't always win his battles but it is very evident that he one the war. I'm quite certain that Joe was embraced by our loving father in heaven and heard these words upon his arrival, "well done, my good and faithful servant, come and find your eternal rest in me, and by the way... that mansion belongs to you and will now be your eternal home." Joe.... Papi..... You will be missed greatly by those of us who are still on our journeys and who have yet to make it to the finish line as you already have. You are loved!

Uncle Joe was always kind and a guitar player that helped me when I was starting out. A fond memory of Uncle Joe was I came over and he was laying on the couch watching Seinfeld laughing at whatever it was Kramer was doing. I can still hear his laugh. He is in a place where he never shall die. "When our work here is done and the life crown is won, And our troubles and trials are o’er, All our sorrows will end and our voices will blend, With the loved ones who’ve gone on before". It's not goodbye, but rather, I'll see you later.

When I met Pastor and his wife I remember they held church services at their house. His teachings will always be cherished and remembered. He was a man of kind and wise words. He was a great leader and an awesome man of God. You will be missed Pastor Joe.

Jose "Joe" Leandro Gonzales, 59, of Arlington, passed away March 17, 2019.

He was born in Mecedes, Texas on September 17, 1959. Joe graduated from Welaco High School and received an Associates of Business Degree from Minnesota. He was married to Felipa Medrano Gonzales on June 21, 1980. 

Joe was the Lead Mechanic for Dallas Airmotive. He had a passion for reading the Bible and a heart for worship. 

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Jovita Herrera Gonzalez and brother in law Carlos Garcia. He is survived by his father Leandro Gonzalez; children, Joe Daniel Gonzales and Patricia Lee Gonzales Noquez; grandchildren, Natalie, Elizabeth, Gavin, Beckett, Leandra, and JoLee; siblings, Irma Gonzales Garcia, Martha Gonzales Davila and husband, Robert, Sylvia Gonzales Medrano and husband, Maximino, and Eliseo Gonzales and wife, Blanca.
