I last saw Uncle Joe in July of 2018 when he drove up to Memphis with Uncle Max and Uncle Jerry to pay their respects after my parents Bill and Shirley Matthews has passed away. We really appreciated that. It was great to see them again after so long.
Like my brother, I miss the 1970's Christmas get togethers in Fort Worth at Daddy Bill and Grandmother's house.
Mark, our heartfelt thoughts go out to you and your family in this time of reflection.

It was a true blessing to have been Joe’s neighbor for the past several years. He loved his family and was always happy to share their accomplishments. He had great stories of Ben Hogan. Joe was always gracious and happy to share his life lessons during our many porch conversations, those times I miss dearly. He called us his neighbor children as we also referred to him as our fatherly neighbor. Joe was full of wisdom.
Our prayers for Joe’s family.
Our heart felt sympathy,
Barbara & Chad Holt

I'll always remember when the families would gather around the holidays when we were younger.
