Don was born July 1, 1939, in Medina, Tenn. At the age of 9, his family moved to Texas and ultimately settled in Cleburne. He graduated from Cleburne High School in 1957 and received his BBA from UTA Arlington in 1971. He was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church for 47 years. In 2001, Don retired after 42 years as an accountant with the Baptist Foundation of Texas.

He was preceded in death by sons, Steve and Kevin McMinn; and parents, Charles and Maude McMinn.

Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Jan; daughter, Rosalyn McMinn Blackshear and husband, Gary; grandson, Ryan Love and wife, Jill; grandson, Ben Love and wife, Kristyn; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Nelly and Miles Love; brother, David McMinn and wife, Llanea; sister-in-law, Sandy and husband, Ron; special friend, Becky Samuel, mother of adopted granddaughters, Becca and Emily Samuel; and a host of family and friends.
