My deepest condolences to Ana and the family of Joe Reyes. I have just heard of his passing that was almost 1 yr ago. I had the great oppurtunity to meet Joe about 11yrs ago and became very good friends with him in that time. Unfortunately sometimes we get so busy with our own lives, that we loose touch with our friends..... I wont forget the many golf games we played together and great laughs two friends share during those outings..... My heart goes out to his family and those who had the Honor of knowning him.

" I only knew Mr. Reyes for a short time but everytime I would speak to him - I felt we had been friends forever.  This is the type of man he was.  I found out of his passing just yesterday.  My deepest condolences to his family.  He will be missed.

I'll miss Joe tremendously.  He was among the most genuine and friendly people I have had the opportunity to get to know.  When I first moved to Dallas, he was among the first to invite me into his home and even show me around the metroplex.  Joe's shining light now burns bright in Heaven. He was a true friend. It always seemed like everyone knew Joe Reyes. No matter where we were, airports, on planes, Costa Rica, Argentina, Puerto Rico, golf courses, networking events,especially San Antonio, Joe was always talking to someone.  What a guy, friend, buddy, job coach, host, and husban to Ana. I thank God for Joe G. Reyes. I believe Joe would want us all to sense God's presence and renew our faith and courage to move forward and to offer this assurance to others, especially Ana and family. My fondest memories of Joe are of the many hours we spent on the tennis courts during the late 70s when I was a student at Incarnate Word. He never beat me but he was a worthy opponent.I'm sure he fought against the disease that claimed his life with as much furor and fierceness that he did me all those years ago. Play on brother! My deepest sympathy to you and the family. I met Joe while I interviewed him on Spanish radio. I noticed him being genuine, sincere and passionate while sharing advice with the listeners about the advantages of opening up a business, and being part of the economic growth in this country. Ever since, he became a true friend. I will miss him, but I know he is now resting in peace. May God bless his family. He will always be remembered.

Joe was my stepfather for many years and was instrumental in molding me as a man and father. With his death, a part of me has died. But I will push forward and be the fun loving, caring , generous person that he was and taught me to be. My deepest condolences to his Wife Ana, his Mother Mary, Brother Fred and Sister Josie.

My condolences to Joe's family.  Joe was a good guy and I enjoyed working with him.  He would always listen to my crazy stories.  Gave me advice that I should take up golfing :)  He will be missed. :(

Last year, I found out that Joe was diagnosed with Cancer.  As soon as I found out, Joe and I stayed in contact with each other on a daily basis either by email (my daily messages) or phone.  We developed a strong friendship.  If I didn't hear from Joe, he knew to expect a phone call from me.  I will miss communicating with Joe but I know that Joe is no longer in pain. Ana, go to Jesus and let Him give you His rest.  His rest will restore your soul as nothing else can.

 To Joe’s Family:
You have been in our thoughts and prayers throughout Joe’s battle during the last 14 months.  Our prayer now is that Joe lives on in His glory and Kingdom; and that Ana and Joe’s Family find strength and comfort in Our Savior’s promise of life everlasting.
  Even though he was only about six years old, when I met his brother Fred, my best high school friend, Joe also became a great friend of mine in his adult years.
   Joe and I shared a lot in common. Both from SA, graduates of Brackenridge High School...he from '70 and I from '62; we both greatly enjoyed tennis. Over the years, we connected while traveling; played spirited tennis matches in Harlingen, SA, Dallas, Houston. We had the pleasure of Joe & Ana visiting us in Houston a few times. It will be difficult to go to El Bolillo Bakery, in my neighborhood without thinking of Joe…that place had become a destination for him…maybe that is why he came to visit!  Together we enjoyed many meals and uh, maybe a drink or two, also.  Both of us were, respectively, lucky enough to ultimately find a beautiful, wonderful, wife who blessed us with unconditional love.  And yes, in Fred, we were fortunate to share the abiding love of a dedicated and loyal brother.  
 Joe, we too will miss you…rest in peace.  We will remember you today…and always.

Joe was a wonderful man and will truly be missed here at Arlington Cancer Center. I remember the first day he came in with a smile on his face. No matter how he was feeling he was always so kind and full of joy, and to his wife Ana my prayers are with you.

I was shocked to hear of Joe's passing, my good friend of many years. I know there is no expression of sympathy, however deeply felt, can help much right now, but I want Joe's family to know my thoughts and prayers are with you. My condolences to all of you. My deepest condolences on the loss of such of a kind man. Several years ago his words of encouragement and advice gave me the confidence to start my own successful business. Joe's knowledge and expertise with small business contracting and certification was very helpful.  I will never forget that.
